The need to downsize is real. However as the Governing Body's top henchmen do so they are also kicking out those whom they have detected as being independent thinkers. Since Jarasc and his cronies are legally allowed to do so they have closely monitored telephone calls and other conversations, the trash cans, etc to spy out whom those are. So, for a while, most of those who helped Bill will be gone from Bethel, although the tyranny exercise there is sure to create many new replacements.

well, a change occurred at the end of april much like what happened in china.the conservatives used silentlambs as an excuse to squash the liberals and any chance of reform in the organization.why do you think they are asking for 1,000 to leave bethel?
it is the liberals, they are being kicked out wholesale and by doing so the last chance for the organization to save itself.the battle is over, jaracz won.. i had heard about the 1000 people leaving bethel but it was spoken of as "downsizing".

These days those males who are not yet ministerial servants but are finding out how the Watchtower Society heads have sullied Jehovah's name with their pedophile coverup are probably sending up prayers of joy not to be an MS or elder. And sisters are grateful to not be able to be ministerial servants even though the Bible calls Phoebe one I think at Romans 16:1. :)

What is ironical? I know JAMA but not "Wired." I think that's true of many other readers too. I'm not saying Wired is not reputable but that I don't know it. Surely something as big as what you say will get into a better known journal or the Associated press will pick up on it. Don't make fun of people with a legitimate statement.

They must above all believe you are "faithful and discreet" which means able to keep your mouth shut on their own hanky-panky since you may in time get access to some of their own service and judicial committee records. If you at some point talked too much or went against the Watchtower Society teachings, you may never be appointed. But if you committed a little sex sin or got drunk a time or two then they will still appoint you after a while. After all, then they've got dirt on you and if you yack about their grabbing ahold of a sister's rump or two, well, then they can blast you back. As to Switzerland, Spain and Australia, I believe the statistics for those are also tending downwards due to not just the internet but in some cases information being left at doors or mailed by those opposed to the Watchtower Society, like this below. What if you mailed about 1000 of them in your nation to JWs and members of news organizations, doctors and nurses, preachers, beauticians and barbers etc? Or went door to door and put them in people's hands in a major city? What would that do in your nation? What if you posted some on telephone poles or other places? It can have a real impact! Some people throw such things away, but others read, copy and distribute even more.

WTS says Christ was likely born about Oct 2, so why ignore counting back 9 months for normal conception or spiritual birth means he was born in late December? Why insist Christmas is from the pagan Saturnalia when John 10:22-3 says Christ also celebrated the Festival of Dedication or Lights, i.e. Hannukah, which first began Dec 25 but has varied since because lunar-based? Job 1:3, 3:1-3 show Job's kids celebrated birthdays if you read all 3 verses to see day of birth is meant. At Luke 2 angels themselves celebrated Christ's birth. Halloween came from All Hallows (Holy Ones/Saints) Evening when parents had children dress as saints to encourage them to be good, the normally harmless pranks coming from Ireland where maybe or maybe not taken from pagans even as wedding rings, names of days, months, some Christian names in the Bible like Apollos and Jason also came from pagans. Why does the WTS call compromises holidays that attacked and replaced paganisms especially since Colossians 2:16 says let none judge you about a holiday or Sabbaths? Some may not care for the commercializing of Christmas or those wearing witch costumes at Halloween and that's understandable, but why force our own consciences on others and make misleading statements about holiday origins? Also, WTS calls a cross a repugnant murder weapon but Paul said boast in it as a symbol of resurrection over death. (Ga 6:14, 1Cor 1:17-18) They say it was a stake but human remains and inscriptions show archaeologists the stauros was a cross not stake, Dr F Zugibe's research shows suffocation would be in minutes if on a stake but in hours if on outstretched cross per Lu 23:44 and Mat 27:45-6, and the word stauros can mean not just stake but cross.
Although almost only the United Pentecostals teach that Jesus is God Almighty (Jehovah) Himself, WTS says the Trinity is believing Father, Son, Spirit are one "identical" person and falsely say most all Protestant and Catholic churches teach that, even though the fact is that most all other Protestant and Catholic groups accept the trinity idea as being three totally different entities or persons forming one "Godship" (Ro 1:20), Son and Spirit sharing inherited age, power, knowledge from God just as an acorn may be only one day old but also have its genes inheriting its ancestral oak tree's age, capacity amd information!
Members are told report on each other although the Bible condemns busy-bodying. Nor are regular JWs allowed to read Judicial Committee "sin files" on themselves, many not knowing they exist; often with misinformation and kept at Brooklyn's Bethel headquarters even if destroyed locally after seven years. Page 232 in the Insight book shows a picture of the Pay Attention To Yourselves And All The Flock book that elders have but do not allow non-elders to read. Page 302 in the Daniel book and pages 88 and 651 in the Proclaimers book show photos of the Knights Templar swords and the cross-with-crown-and-wreath used by Masons who sometimes use "Theocratic Warfare" tactics to change members' personalities on early WTSs literature. Not surprisingly with the pedophile and other scandals, many good JWs have also complained of visual and electronic spying, and even physical harassment. Some old WT books also have the winged sun god Ra on front covers - never a Christian symbol.
Why must anyone be endangered or misled? JWs can form nonWTS groups for fun (http://exjw.meetup.com ; http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jahchristian), join another group or decrease donations and support to the WTS. Please make and use copies of this for years ahead. It was written out of love for our JW families and friends as well as the public's - yours too! Tens if not hundreds of thousands of copies of this and similar items have gone to JW congregations and individuals earthwide via email and postings on internet discussion boards since 1998, and countless members of the public have read it too. Aaac, Japan membership is decreasing rapidly and a major person in Japan's Bethel quit the Watchtower Society. Several years ago a JW quit in S. Africa and talked thousands of others into quitting after the end failed to come. I think that was (1914+80) in 1994 or 1995 when so many quit. The Watchtower Society increased membership there again after he did that for a while but I suppose it's slipping again. Why? Well, note that South Africa also has more internet access than is available in the other nations of Africa.

Need Info on JW's Scandals in Mexico-
by Cappuccino OC inmany years ago i heard that the jw's in mexico weren't allowed to sing songs or pray at the meetings due to the government not wanting to recognize them as a 'religion'.
is this true?
then i heard that jehovah helped them and now they are recognized as a religion and they can sing & have prayers in meetings.
